Lately...
1. Nathan and Adam "texted" each other yesterday for like a half hour. Nathan would send a picture of himself sticking his tongue out, and then I'd face the iPhone camera towards Adam so that he could see himself and he'd stick his tongue out. This would contine on with pointing to his nose, making a sad face, showing teeth, etc. Nathan texted me later saying, "That was the highlight of my week...and it's only Wednesday." ........................................ 2. Asher is laughing! I got him to laugh for the first time last week by repeatedly kissing him on the forehead and saying "muah!" Nathan got him laughing pretty hard today just by saying "dee dee dee!"

3. I prayed out loud today--all alone in the quiet of my room--and it felt good.

4. Asher is taking 2-4 hour naps IN HIS BASSINET during the day. I'm sure people thought I was exaggerating when I'd say things like "Yeah, I just hold him all day..." No really, I did. This is a huuuuuge deal that he will sleep for long periods of time (and not in my arms).

5. Last night, I had planned on making salmon for dinner, but then I realized we were out of foil. (Is there another way to cook salmon then putting foil on a cookie sheet??) Anyway, I turned to Nathan and said, "Sorry, we don't have any foil; I guess our dinner plans are FOILED!" And then I started smiling and laughing like a crazy person. Nathan just stared at me in silence. It was awesome.

6. Adam did not nap last Monday, Thursday, or Saturday. Can someone please tell him he is way too young to phase out naps?!! I really can't complain too much, though, because he typically naps for 3 hours.

7. This is totally random (oh wait...this entire post is), but can I just say how much I love that both my boys got my dimples?!!

8. It's only May and it's like SUMMER here. We have been having the most amazing weather--yep that's right, SUNNY weather in rainy old Portland.

9. Nathan passed all his NBCE Boards...only 7 months left till he graduates with a Doctorate of Chiropractics!

10. Tamara shared this link about "8 New and Necessary Punctuation Marks" last week on her Facebook, and I cannot stop thinking/laughing about it. If I was still teaching, I would find some way to incorporate that into one of my grammar lessons.

11. Last month, Asher said "ahh-woo" and Adam's face lit up and he asked, "Baby brover--wolf?" You know how that boy loves his animal sounds.
