DIY Natural Massage Lotion Bars for Dry Skin, How to Make LUSH Inspired Body Butters

WARNING: BEFORE YOU ATTEMPT ANY BEAUTY DIY LIKE THIS PRETTY PLEASE CHECK YOU ARE NOT ALLERGIC TO ANY OF THE INGREDIENTS!!!
Ready to make some cute Valentine's Day inspired heart solid massage lotions bars? I know it's been so, so long since my last DIY, too long! The Christmas period, although seemingly a long time ago, was so manic that I wasn't able to produce hardly any blog content whatsoever and then in January, of course my stupid laptop breaks again. Yes, this is the same laptop that has been broken for oh, a good YEAR now but I decided it would be a wise decision to save up this time and now just repeat said laptop disaster so I'm saving for a Mac Book Pro. This way, I can edit my videos properly and next time, voice overs I promise!
Anyway, let's get back on point. I thought this would be a fun, easy DIY for Valentine's Day. You've all seen LUSH's massage bars and solid body butters so I want to share a way you can make yourself something equally nourishing, and equally decadent. The number of ingredients needed is pretty small so watch the video above, and then use them after a bath for the silkiest, smoothest skin, I promise you!

These massage lotion bars are all natural and packed with skin loving ingredients. Cocoa Butter is high in fatty acids and hydrates the skin deeply and has been noted to help skin irritations such as eczema and dermatitis. It is also high in antioxidants, which help fight off free radicals, and is widely noted to help reduce stretch marks. Coconut oil is equally magical, packjed with fatty acids to help lock moisture into the skin. Finally, vitamin E is one of the most powerful antioxidants that protects and repairs your skin. Put that all together and you create these happy little lotion bars that are ready to seriously sort out winter-dry skin.
WARNING: THESE MELT EXTREMELY EASILY IN WARM TEMPERATURES SO KEEP THEM COOL IN THE FRIDGE WHEN YOU'RE NOT USING THEM.
You will need:

♥ Measuring cups
♥ Spoons: tablespoon and a teaspoon.
♥ Pan
♥ 1/2 cup of cocoa butter
♥ 1 tbsp of coconut oil
♥ 1/2 tsp Vitamin e oil
♥ 1/2 tsp of your fragrance choice. I thought chocolate would be lovely for this.
♥ Candy mold or an ice tray. I'm going with a Valentine's Day theme so this heart ice tray from Accessorize is perfect.
♥ Candy foils or mini cupcake cases.

In case you're wondering 90% of the above ingredients are from ebay. Seriously, just type in the above and a plethora of stores will come up.

I really hope you enjoyed this DIY and I'll definitely do another Valentine's Day DIY. Oh and one more thing, the music in the video is by Imogen Brough who was one of my Music Monday featured artists here. The song I used in the video is called 'Heart' and from Imogen's EP called 'Counting Waves' which you can download right here.

xoxo
