Pearl's Outfit

Pearl picked her own clothes for the first time today. When I went into her room this morning, she played with Axel for a bit, and then pointed at her closet. I asked her what she wanted and she said "Be-lah shirt." Be-lah is how she says her cousin Maleah's name. Anything that was handed down to her from Maleah is always called a Be-lah shirt, Be-lah pants, or Be-lah dress. She has a lot of items handed down from Maleah so I started pulling them out until I found the one she wanted. It was a size 4T tank top. Not exactly her size or weather appropriate, but I gave it to her anyway. She asked me for a little help getting her pajamas off and then put it on. Then she asked to see her pants. So I showed her all of the pant options and she chose a green pair with Dalmatians printed on them. It felt like something that should be documented. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and took a few quick photos of her first chosen outfit. She was very happy with her choice and I loved watching her little mind work. -Kira
