What I Wore | In Full Bloom

WhatIWore: We had the most beautiful weekend here in Bloomington! On Saturday we had donuts at home, went to the farmer’s market and then spent the entire day hanging out in our friend’s backyard in the sunshine. I am in LOVE with this new dress (so much so I’m thinking of getting it in another color way) because it makes me feel like me.

When: April 12, 2014

What:
Hat: old
Shades: old
Necklace: Jess LC
Dress: Free People (in other colors)
Bag: Coach
Shoes: Adrienne Vittadini via DSW (later swapped out for these flats use my code for $20 off)

I was ranting about maternity clothing options the other day and decided to look into a few new places and felt like I hit the jackpot at Free People. I actually only ordered two dresses (and will be returning the other dress because the color wasn’t great on me), but I feel like this one was a great splurge and makes me feel like a springtime goddess! I ordered up one size (so I’ll still get plenty of wear next summer when I’m not pregnant) and paired it with a vintage slip (that still fits! phew!) and felt so good all day.

There’s such a difference in just getting clothes on your body and wearing something that makes you feel like your best. I guess that’s what I meant to say earlier: for me other maternity pieces I’ve seen are lacking. It’s just like… here’s some extra length and elastic in black, gray or stripes and just cover yourself up. More on that in a couple of days! For now I’m going take another look at these photos and remember what a fun day we had doing nothing much at all!
