A guide by ULIMALI: How to look (and feel) like a gang$ter
Step 1: Attitude Being a gangster is all about carrying an attitude. Whenever I feel like becoming a different character/ personality from who I usually am, I simply switch to a new music genre. Lately I've been listen to an African rave rap band Die Antwoord and man, they are nothing short of badass!
Step 2: The turtle neck Wear a turtle neck. Not only they're trendy, they also tend to give off a sense of mystery. Better off it they're made of a stretchy knit material which is totally 90's. They remind me of spies like Kim Possible and Tomb Raider (oooh I love Angelina Jolie in this one). Feeling the vibe already?
Step 3: Tear your clothes! Haha, just kidding. My jeans were bought ripped but the holes on my knees simply grew bigger with every wash. I mean, what's a gangster without an attire that looks like he has been through some tough street fights, huh?! *knocks fists together*
Step 4: Blings & chains What's the similarity among all the gangsta rappers? The oversized chain necklace! From Eminem to Rihanna, no gangster leave home without a big O' chain. Don't be fooled by mine, they're actually surprisingly lightweight. Of course, I had to add my gold watch and sunglasses to complete the look. I think a dash of bold purple lipstick really elevated the gangster look!
