Festive without Going Overboard

Around this time of year I like being festive in my attire. BUT I’m not all about the jingling earrings, plethora of non-ironic tacky Christmas sweaters, matching elf socks, flashing light necklaces, etc… I like using the classic colors of the season – red, green, white – and mixing those into my looks. It gives a cheery, festive look and feel without being as flashy as Rudolph with his glowing nose.

This look is one I’ve styled before – the green vegan leather jacket and this exact dress was an OOTD post over a year ago. The accessories were all different. Different tights, different shoes, different scarf, different earrings, but same general pieces. The change in accessories helps make the whole look different from what I’ve previously worn while still keeping the combination of dress/jacket that I loved.

And yes, I pretty much live in these Rachel Roy booties now. Greatest eBay find of the year!
