· Lutein 20 mgs. Lutein is not actually a vitamin it is a carotenoid which is part of a group of yellow and red pigmentations found in animal fat and a small quantity of plants. It is very similar to carotene which is in its highest concentration in carrot and is converted to vitamin A by the liver.

· Astaxanthin 4 mg. Astaxanthin is also a carotenoid that is a reddish pigmentation. It is found in algae and gives color to salmon, lobster, shrimp and other seafood. It is also recommended in treatments of cancer, age related macular degeneration and Parkinson Disease among others. It may be applied directly to the skin to prevent sunburn. This is an antioxidant, which is one of the more common eye health chemicals.

· Zeaxanthin 4 mg. Also a bioflavonoid that is found in almost all herbs, plants and vegetables. Again it is a carotenoid that is most readily found in dark leafy vegetable, herbs and plants. It is also found in yellow fruits and vegetables as well as egg yolks. It is something that should be included in your daily diet. The best source of Zeaxanthin can be found in Kale, spinach etc. Zeaxanthin supplements are not recommended for smokers, though smoking can prevent the absorption of Zeaxanthin, the supplements have been linked to lung cancer.
