I'm Enough

As a working mom, my life is busy and hectic basically 24/7. It's a constant struggle to balance marriage, motherhood, a career, and friendships, while still maintaining what makes me unique. It's easy to feel overwhelmed and get down on myself for not getting everything done or being the perfect wife or mother. But you know what? I'm not trying to be perfect. I am enough, just as I am. All moms are. All women are.

Hudson loves his mama and my little family is happy and healthy. And that's all that matters. Today I'm celebrating being enough...want to join me?

I was recently asked to be a part of the #imENOUGH Challenge and I couldn't say yes fast enough.
The Mrs., an all-female rock band, recently asked a group of women how they felt when they looked in the mirror. They didn’t like the answer, so they decided to help change it. And let me tell you....taking a picture with that little heart in the mirror really made me realize a few things:

My house will never be clean.

My kid might always have some sort of food smeared on his clothes (and so will I).

My nails might always be chipped.

There will always be piles of laundry and dishes.

But that doesn't define who I am as a mother, wife, or friend.

God has big plans for me and my sweet family. I am enough.

Now it’s your turn! Take a selfie and post it with the #imENOUGH hashtag to join the movement!

The Mrs. will be releasing their debut song, "Enough" this fall. Although the music may sound like what’s being played on pop radio right now, the lyrics tell a different story. As women in their late thirties/early forties, songs about teenage heartbreak and wild nights clubbing weren't things they could relate to. They decided to write about their own lives - like the challenge of juggling a career, marriage, motherhood and friendships, while still trying to maintain their own identity. They set out to foster a connection through their music with other women at the same place in their lives.

Just watching the video (click that link if it doesn’t work for you) brought tears to my eyes. I've watched it several times with the same response. Seriously, if you have a few minutes, watch this video here. It's worth it, trust me.
function linqiatrack4514() { var oImg=document.createElement('img'); oImg.setAttribute('src', 'http://ooh.li/bbcd21b'); document.getElementById('linqiatrack4514').appendChild(oImg); obj = document.getElementById("trans4514"); var wrap = document.getElementById("lnq-wrap-4514"); wrap.removeChild(obj); }

Thank you to The Mrs. for sponsoring today’s post and reminding me that I’m Enough!
