60 in 60
Happy Monday everyone! Hope you had a wonderful weekend! We had a beautiful weekend full of sunshine, yard work and an outside brunch! I just love eating outside don’t you?!
In 60 days I’ll be turning 60. I’m not super cranked about it – i was okay with turning 40 and even 50 but 60……not so much! As a way to commemorate turning 60 (and be more positive about it) I decided (after hearing 60 in 60 in my head) that i would make a small piece of art every day for 60 days until my birthday on June 15. At the end of the 60 days I’ll make these missives to myself into a small book. I’m not sure if the art will be simply words, paintings or doodles…….I’ll just see what shows up!
I told Dale Anne Potter that i was doing this after hearing that she’s turning 60 soon. She said she wanted to do it too but her first 60 days began the very next day. If you have a milestone birthday coming up why not do the same thing? If you’re turning 30 it could be 30 in 30 or 40 would be 40 in 40, 50 would be 50 in 50! It could be anything – if you’re a quilter you could make a small square a day. Good luck if you decide to join me!
