Expedit/Kallax 4×4 with ethanol fireplace

I wanted to put some things in my Expedit 4×4 which did not fit at all…

So the plan was:

• Put my ethanol fireplace in the top level of the Expedit.
• The second level is for books and stuff. The four compartments will become divided in half horizontally.
• The third level is for my stereo. Unfortunately the music boxes doesn’t fit in a normal compartment.
• The bottom level is for drawers and bigger stuff.

The fireflace is a little bigger than the original height, so the top level gets a little bigger and the third level gets a bit smaller in height as the stereo doesn’t need that much space. The third level also has only three separate compartments for the music boxes to fit. So there are a few new holes to drill!

As the new spacings have been set, the fireplace is fixed with two angles.

First test stability: success!

The fireflace is no lightweight, but everything is very stable, no need to secure it at the wall.
