Somehow, over the years, I’d stopped doing this weekly feature. Maybe it happened in my quest to stop buying impractical and unworn items. Shoes have always been my kryptonite and, in a effort to pay off debt, my shoe purchases became focused on essentials.

But lately?? My finances are way under control, and I’m revisiting what it is I find pleasurable about fashion. So it goes without saying… my interest in (and desire for) new shoes is up, Up, UP!

I’ve been mega-crushing on the Loeffler Randall’s Emerson booties since July or so. This means I’ve been coveting these shoes for MONTHS, but haven’t been able to quite justify the $475 price tag. I love that they remind me of grown-up majorette boots. All they need is a jaunty, over-sized tassel bouncing off the front! The pristine white paired with black studs reminds me of a 1960s English schoolgirl — too good to wear anything but white, but maybe a bit too excited about The Beatles.

Shopbop’s got the Loeffler Randall Emerson boots in white on sale for $332.50. They have the black version on sale for $332.50, and a denim version on sale for $346.50.

So maybe they’re still a bit outside my means… let’s hope they don’t sell out before I can save up!
