Review: Vogue Paris April 2014 Issue
By Heather Dunhill

If you’re a product junkie then it’s time to sharpen your pencil or ready your Google search because the Vogue Paris April issue has a few items for your dressing table....

First, you have to check out the limited edition Proenza Schouler collaboration with M.A.C. in News Beauté. The packaging alone is your signal to the luxe colors that abound from oceanic teal to glossed lemon and royal violet — perfect to transition your spring to summer makeup drawer or cupboard, whichever the case may be….

Just a little further into the tome at Beauté you’ll love that Christelle Baillet narrowed the daunting annual bronzer search down to her seven favorites for body and face. And, a must-have this season is a range of the perfect pinks for a healthy summer glow. Why not fall for the luscious Givenchy Prismissime Euphoric palette, which is entirely too hot. To save you a little time, I spied this at Barneys New York.

Then, for beauty from the inside out — there’s Yogi Tea Himalaya Ginger Harmony a sumptuous ancient blend of ginger, fennel, cinnamon, anise, and coriander. Now this I had a more difficult time locating… so, if you see it in the U.S. please let me know!

Okay, one more… just a reminder that a summer scent is in order, always a tall order as they’re never easy to find. Théodora Aspart has culled a few in Beauté but I feel she left one off — Creed’s Virgin Island Water. If you haven’t heard of it, Virgin Island Water is truly divine, crafted of highly covetable notes that include coconut, lime, white rum, bergamot, mandarin orange, hibiscus, ginger, ylang-ylang, and jasmine. Think hammock in Bali, secluded pink sand beaches of Eleuthera, palms swaying on Bermuda, and a Caipirinha under the Brazilian stars….
