All right, guys - it's officially December 1st which means my annual bout of frenzied holiday celebrations has officially kicked off! Not that I ever make any particular effort to not seem like a dork, but if there's ever a time of the year that I really let my nerd flag wave high, it's during the holidays - I am obsessed (my whole family is, actually) and to say I get really into the seasonal festivities is the understatement of the century. So naturally, this weekend was all prep for the season's kick-off - picking our Christmas tree (and chopping it down!), decorating our place and heading to one of my favourite places to visit during the holidays - Granville Island! We're lucky to live nearby so after a veeery chilly Sea Wall walk (hence all the monochromatic layers!), we beeline it immediately to Petit Ami, our favourite little coffee shop in the market. Sweetest staff, and they always remember our order!
We've been going to V&J Plant Shop since we moved into the hood and it's usually our go-to for holiday additions - poinsettias, wreaths, etc. Repotted these bad boys above, such a pretty little festive addition to my desk!
And of course, you can't get a better view anywhere in the city - you might see this exact view pop up on my Instagram feed way too often, but it's hard not to incessantly capture the same scene when it's so damn pretty!
