Wedding Photo Editing Done the Right Way

Have you been asked to work on any wedding photo editing tasks lately? The odds are you might have struggled with thinking about things that you can do just to make the editing process a little easier to use. You have to take a look at the things that you should and should not be doing when you are trying to make your pictures look a little more appealing and interesting.

Using Lights Right

First, you should check and see that your lights are being added in the right spaces. This means that any artificial light sources that you add into the photo as you make it should be controlled carefully. This means that the edits should be relatively even around the body of the light.

Airbrushing in Wedding Photo Editing

Next, your wedding photo editing process should involve the right airbrushing totals. Airbrushing can be useful but only if you use it for a brief period of time. You can’t just correct every single blemish on a person’s face or else that person will look artificial and plastic. Rather, you can focus on one or two key spots on the face that might be too distracting. For example, it is fine to remove one mole without touching anything else in a spot. It must be used carefully so there will not be any problems coming out of the photos as they are being edited with this process in mind.

Responsible Cutting and Pasting

You should avoid cutting and pasting items at random. The wedding photo editing process should be done with a natural series of edits based on what actually fits into a picture. In other words, you can’t just take any image and place it in a wedding photo.

What you can do with cut and paste is another story. You can always take two photos from the same scene and combine them through a cut and paste procedure. Additional effects can be added to these images as soon as the cut and paste procedure is finished. This should make the editing process a little more natural in appearance without any problems coming off of it.

You should avoid spot coloring in any black and white wedding photo editing process. Spot coloring is often used by some editors to make some dramatic colors stand out from other items. However, the problem is that you’d be doing this with an image that might have been black and white in the first place.

Color Points and Other Visual Effects

Having a small part of the picture in color will only make the designs that you get out of it look very unusual. It is not a good idea to use this feature when trying to make a wedding photo look more appealing because it only detracts from the real meaning of the image.

One thing that you can do when trying to make the wedding photo editing process work right would be to keep the right images and filters set up in any spot. The images and filters that you add should be used to keep the focus on the subject in your photo. You can do this to keep the background from being too prominent or you can make the background equal with the person in the forefront if the photo has a relatively beautiful or detailed background that you do want to add.

Avoid Being Too Bright

Finally, you have to avoid using difficult light effects that only make some spots too bright. You might think that a good wedding photo editing strategy might involve using one single light around a couple as they kiss to show their love for each other. However, this might only make the photo look very melodramatic or cheesy.

You can’t afford to abuse light effects by placing them in the wrong spots. Light effects should be subtle and should not involve the use of any bright sun sport or other features that are obviously artificial. It has to flow properly within the picture if it is going to have a good design and flow to it.

You have to watch for what you might use when editing wedding photos. Your strategies for wedding photo editing have to be checked carefully so you will not deal with any substantial problems relating to what’s in your photos.
