The Good Basics.

It's been a rainy and moody july here in Paris! Since I'm spending 90% of my days at a boiling hot office I like to layer up and keeping it comfy. Lots of people got curious about this outfit on my Instagram account so here we go: The coat is from Zara and demonstrates the perfect reason why I avoid the brand: you always walk out with something. So, so bad for your wallet but for sales I just have to take a quick look there from time to time even if I prefer saving up my money for things that are on my eternal wish list. Anyway, lets move on: the denim shirt is from The Kooples and it's the perfect basic to combine with Tshirts since it's cut like a little classic denim jacket but yet it remains very very light, I like to avoid that vintage oversized blue denim jacket look, it feels like I've seen it too much. The tee is from Uniqlo, a good place for basics and their collection with Inès de la Fressange has awesome transparent blouses. Last but not least my beloved high waisted pants (I totally abandoned the low waist), here from American Apparel. Combine with a classic bag and done! In my case, the Chanel Boy is always with me for the rainy days because it's simply indestructible. Also, this look is the perfect example that you don't need a huge budget to a) look good b) keep yourself warm! I personally like mixing all sorts of brands, you can dress perfectly these days with a low budget and there are really interesting pieces to discover as well. Your turn!
