How to: incorporate Ikat in your home

An ikat pattern is the result of a procedure known as resist dyeing which a quite similar tie-dye. Through the named process, only certain parts of the fabric are affected by the dye, resulting in a cool tribal-inspired print that works with every style. I'm having a little ikat moment lately, weather is a beautiful ikat area rug, a fab pillow or bedspread and even tapestry, I find ikat rather amazing.
So, whether you want to incorporate ikat in your space by starting off slow and just use the fab fabric on your pillows, then work your way up to an rug and then upholster a piece of furniture… Here a couple of my favorite interiors featuring different types of ikat patterns.
