“Smart Cookie” Cookbook Shipping This Week
Oh my goodness, it looks like Amazon is shipping out my book, SMART COOKIE, a little early, and it will be arriving in mailboxes THIS WEEK. I’m kind of freaking out! It’s one thing to spend almost two years working on a book, it’s an entirely different thing to hand it over to the world. Eeek! I’m feeling a little nervous, excited, anxious and other emotions I probably don’t have words for!
I won’t lie, writing a cookbook wasn’t easy. It’s not like blogging, where you connect and share, it’s just you and the kitchen and the computer, for a very long time. It challenged me, it pushed me and some days I didn’t think I could do it. When it comes to baking, I’ve always felt that decorating was my weakness. And that’s part of why I took this on – I wanted to show you that if I can do it, YOU can do it. Trust me on that.
It’s so hard to find the time in the day to get it all done, and sometimes we can use a little help. Smart Cookie lets you leave the baking to the bakeries, allowing you to focus on the fun decorating. If you prefer to bake from scratch, you absolutely can! However if you are pressed for time or just don’t love the baking part as much as the decorating part, then you can skip it and pick your cookies up at the store or bakery. You can use store bought frosting or make your own, switch up the colors or candies to suit your tastes and needs. My hope is that everyone who buys this book finds a way to make it uniquely theirs. Follow the recipes to the letter, or use them as a starting point, and either way, have fun with it!
