Boy Meets Girl

Summer for me is working 6-7 days week so when I'm lucky enough to find personal time, it usually involves errands. On my day off, I like get out of my white coat and dress up yet still be comfy. I am loving this dress that I picked up from UO. The low flare waist line adds body to boyish frames but still short enough to show off some skin which still makes it very feminine. Not everyone is lucky with a bodacious body...ahem* Beyonce! My Pendleton Nike Roshe Run's add a cool chic look to my outfit comfort = winning in my book!

MH are my initials and 12.24 is my birth date....yay for Nike IDs!

Ended my day off with a date night with my beau so I pulled out my nude pumps for a classier look. I love all the artwork in Bushwick so I love taking pictures out there. My favorite has to be the one with the little boy spray painting "Never Let Go". Out of all of them, this one stands out to me the most. I pass by it all the time and it's a constant reminder that you should always hold on to what you love. Where there is love, there is life.

Yes, my day full of errands includes getting my hair done! I have been meaning to get my ombre touched up and adding shorter locks. After doing a whole lot of research, I finally decided to change salons and I absolutely love the results. Getting my hair done is such a nightmare, which is why I don't do it too often. Sitting in that chair gives me all kinds of anxiety and emotions (not good ones). I don't think hairstylists realize what we are giving them a lot of responsibility when we let them do our hair. My mom always told me hair is the most beautiful feature on a woman and mothers never lie. My last ombre turned very brassy and orange. My hairstylist gave me a nice ashy blonde balayage ombre (very well blended and natural looking), which I never thought would look nice with the color of my skin. I am very picky when it comes to hair and 95% of the time I am not satisfied but will still leave with a smile on my face but my heart a little broken. Happy and relieved to say this time was not the same and I was fully satisfied and didn't feel bad about the money spent! xx Mars
