By DIY Beautify.com

2. Add a Garden Fountain .. Pour out Blessings

This is not just a delightful Fall decorating idea, but also a soulful addition to an already lush and fabulous garden. A soft sounding water fountain adds an interesting new dimension to a garden. Perfect for that season when the blooms are gone.

3. DIY Fabric Pumpkins for a Country Look Fall Décor

These over-sized fabric pumpkin pillows are so tongue and cheek. Use them to dress up your room or your porch in layers. Use up all your remnants with your Fall color scheme*.

*Btw. A Fall decorating color scheme does not always have to be the classics. Have a look at this tutorial here, by Tammy Henderson on how to pick pastels for Fall Decorating. Her design look is simply stunning!

4. Easy Double-layed Crochet Coasters

Make them in these Fall colors, which will no doubt instantly spur on some related Fall decorating ideas. Love ‘m!

5. DIY Fall Decorating as Fall Date Idea!

Now, don’ think of scrubbing the porch or anything like this. No. Think such things as doing some pumpkin carving together, or making caramel Apples!! I like that idea. Never thought of this. Leave it to the Lou lou girls to go crazy on a date! They have a long list of 20 delightful other Fall date ideas, many of which I might like to do myself. Brilliant list, really! Novel!

btw: if you like the idea of sitting on a log together and … carving, here are some pumpkin carving designs you might like to try.

6. Sew Your Own Fall Jacket

So Wesen’s Art shows us how to make your own Fall Jacket. With a snug collar and an optional hoodie. Great. Use your own design sense and copy her method of making it. I’d add fur to the collar instead, because well, that ‘s fashionable me… (wink). ( See 5 Trends to DIY during London Fashion Week)

7. DIY Chicken Wire Ghost as Garden Sculpture

First, learn how to make a chicken wire ghost for Halloween. Then, hop over to Artistic Endeavor 101 to learn how to put some clothes onto the ghost. What a fun idea to dress up your garden ghost. But now thinking about, a garden ghost would look awesome in a ragged, vintage dress, don’t you think?

Tip: be sure to paint the chicken wire frame to create a wonderful DIY glow-in-the-dark Halloween Decor.

8. Fall Quilt Patterns

This lovely pear quilt design for beginners in subtle Fall colors, by Janeen van Niekerk, really captures my fancy. I somehow see this in the kitchen: potholder, coaster, the as the pretty side of a storage bag, a wooden kitchen chair pillow cover or on the bib of an apron.

Besides being a frequent linky party guest, Janeen is our weekly contributor who offers FREE quilting workshops for beginners. Currently we are making the second block in a Fall quilt sampler pattern. A new quilting lesson will be posted every Thursday afternoon! The quilt we are working on is beautiful. It’s not often that illustrated quilting workshops of this high quality are offered completely free. Take advantage of it: Pin it, share it (as it’s most fun to quilt with a friend) and join in!!! You can easily catch up: previous quilt making workshop sessions stay onsite for future reference.

BTW Janeen is also a paper-piecing artist. She is currently working on this amazing (intermediate) quilt block of a waterfall quilting design. She was showing us her WIP the other day. Just stunning!

Time for a (linky) Party

Today’s party is grouped together again, as I found that people were linking up too many duplicates. Rather than less work, it became more work to sort it all out. Best to Keep It Simple, Susie. KISS!

OK. Come link up! Show us your creative endeavors: DIY home makeovers, decorating, sewing projects, crafts, knitting, crochet, etc. All welcome!
