❤️ MOSCHINO ❤️

The back of the cardigan says "Drink Moschino".. how fun!
THE ONE.
and how great to end with the facts that women care about the most..oh the irony..
I fall for anyone who puts humour and makes the styling of outfits seem very fun & frivolous yet beautiful.
Loved how bold this collection was! Jeremy Scott never fails to inject a bit of humour and consumerism culture into the pieces he designs. I love the play on the branding of Moschino where he incorporated the iconic McDonalds "M" and slogan, in one of the sweaters. The mix of high fashion and low culture (a.k.a stuff that everyone relates to) has always been a style by Scott that I particularly like, he is to me, the Andy Warhol of the fashion design world for sure. One of my recent (late, I know!) favourite fashion designers aside from Henry Holland, Yohji Yamamoto, and Hussein Chalayan I would say. The design aesthetics of each of these designers may be drastically different from each other, but one thing they have in common is their bravery for developing their own style uncaring towards all the negative energy they receive. Must've been so difficult for all of them.
Being a fashion student who someday strives to have an individual label or be an art director, I find that university tutors can be...a huge pain in the ass. Obviously not going to mention names here as much as I'd love to, but there are just so many times when there are dangers of falling into the trap of creating shit that satisfies tutors' taste rather than them accepting your own style, and helping you develop it. I've seen it happen to others. I mean, it's so difficult trying to be yourself in your work because you sometimes...never know who you actually are. That's why it's inspiring to see designers like Yohji Yamamoto and Jeremy Scott because they've got such strong characters in their designs. I know that Yamamoto failed to sell his fashion illustrations in France when he started out, but heyyyy look at him now. Plus, Scott was an INTERN (like me!!) for Moschino's PR...and look at him now.
It's Important to Be Brave.
