Review: Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Moisturizing Oil

When it comes to body products, it's always the scent that draws me into a purchase, but the effectiveness that will dictate whether I'll repurchase. So when I find a product that smells amazing and works really well for me I become rather excited and have to share it with you! Cue todays review of a Palmer's product that I've been loving recently. I have to say I'm a fan of quite a lot of Palmers products really, the body scrub is amazing!

As always I've included a summary at the end :)

The Basics
As with most Palmers products the packaging is rather simple, but practical. I am usually a sucker for pretty packaging, but to think logically about it, it must cost money and bump up the price to prettify packaging. Talking about price this costs £4.99 for 250ml of product, it's dispensed through the cap - and doesn't throw out too much product at once. It contains a variety of oils including Soybean, Sesame, Safflower and Cocoa, it also has Vitamin E in it, so lots to soothe and soften dry skin. It is an emulsified oil, which means that it mixes with water (it goes a little cloudy). As far as I can tell (I'm not an ingredients buff!) it also contains no mineral oil.

What Did I Think? The first thing I noticed was how delicious this smells, it kinda smells like chocolate/cocoa - just like the body scrub does. As I said the oil is emulsified, which means that it can be added to the bath or applied straight to the skin - I like to do both! In the bath I add 1-2 capfulls, with the later leaving you feeling a little slimy in the bath, but super soft afterwards, there was definitely no need for a moisturizer! I've also been enjoying applying this straight onto the skin before bed, where again it leaves me feeling super soft and hydrated as well as smelling amazing. So all in all, I love this product and would highly recommend having a look at it!

The Good - Can be used on skin/in bath, smells amazing, hydrating, cheap, value.
The Not so Good - If you don't like a slimy bath you might want to just use this on the skin.
Would I Repurchase? Absolutely!
Price & Availability - £5.10, Boots, Superdrug & £4.99 Feel Unique.

Over the last couple of years I've been using and loving a variety of oils for the face, but as of yet hadn't ventured into oils for the body (oo er!), so after trying this fabulous one I'm eager to try some more - I think one of The Body Shop Ones might have to be next! I've heard good things!
