Empties: March 2014! AKA All the Essentials!

The months aren't even flying by anymore, they're going at supersonic speed! I can't even believe how quickly the days, weeks and months are going by anymore. My mum always told me that time goes quicker as you get older - this just goes to prove that mums are always right! I got so side tracked there didn't I - what's life without a bit of deviation from the topic though! I haven't done so well with empties this month, but I do still have some bits to show you!

Schwarzkopf Blonde Ultime Xtra-Xtreme Lightener - Possible Repurcase (£6.99, Boots) You may (or may not) have noticed in my recent posts that I've changed the colour of my hair - it's now a lot lighter! I felt like a cheat including this as it is just a one use product - but I thought you might like to know what I used to change my hair colour. It did the job, but wasn't anything special to sum it up in a nutshell - you can see what this did to my hair here though - link.

Soap & Glory Glad Hair Day Shampoo - Repurchase
(£5.50 for 250ml, Boots) I think I've used quite a few of these Soap & Glory Shampoos up now and would probably still repurchase. It does a nice job of hydrating whilst cleaning my hair well, I have also tried the conditioner and think that they work very well together. I will probably use this shampoo with a different conditioner though as I've found a conditioner that I prefer!

Naked Brunette Radiance Conditioner* - Possible Repurchase
(£4.39 or £2.50, Boots) Although this says it's for Brunette hair, I've actually been using this on my definitely not brunette hair! I haven't found that it's muddied the colour or really done anything other than be a good conditioner! It's nice and hydrating and leaves my hair lovely and soft! It also smells a little herbally, which I rather like! Coming from Naked it is 97% natural, vegan and sulphate free!

Wilkinsons Fruity Berry Handwash - Repurchase
(£1 for 250ml, Wilkinsons) For cheap shower (and handwash!) products Wilkinsons is the place to be! I never really gave their own brand products much of a look, but after giving it an in depth look in my 'Own Brand Adventures' feature on my blog, I've realised that they actually do some good (and cheap) products. This particular one smelt beautifully fruity - berry like strangely enough! For those wondering, I didn't find that this dried my hands out at all.

W7 Eyelust Mascara*
(£1.75, Fragrance Direct)7 I can't lie, I was never overly impressed with this mascara, it was more of a lash coater than a lash enhancer, if you know what I mean! It didn't really do a lot. It is very cheap though, so I can't fault it too much! W7 do some brilliant nail polishes though, so although I wouldn't recommend this mascara, it's the perfect opportunity to tell you that I like the nail polishes!

DHC Double Protection Mascara* - Possible Repurchase
(£14.50, DHC's Website) This mascara on the other hand is really good - although it is much more expensive, so you'd hope it would be good! I love that it has a very small brush on it, it's perfect for getting right into the base of the lashes and lifting them. It also made it really good for using on the bottom lashes too. Longevity again is really good. I do think that it's a little pricey though, which puts me off repurchasing, but I do like it!

Collection Super Size Fat Lash Mascara
(£2.99, Superdrug) As you can probably tell, I've been on a bit of a mascara purge this month and weeded out the old ones! I never actually reviewed this mascara, something that I didn't get around to! However I wasn't overly fond of it, it looked alright on my lashes (nothing special), but tended to end up under my eyes. It smudged, which I understand does happen with some mascara, but when it rained (even a little bit), I looked like a mega panda - I've never had anything quite as extreme!

Sleek Pout Polish - Sugar May
(Shade Discontinued - others £4.49, Boots) This one is a little bit of a cheat as there is a little bit left in it. You know when you have a lipbalm in a pot and you just can't get the last little bit out - well that's what's happened with this! I was going to try and get a little more out of it (I was struggling!), and dropped it on the floor and split the lid - that was the end of that! I do really like the Pout Polishes, strong colour to them and nice and hydrating. I can't believe I (almost) finished one of these up! PS I forgot to take a picture of this one!

This month my Empties seemed to just consist of hair products and mascara! Next month lets hope it's something different! I need to use up some shower gels, I have an embarrassing amount - more than anyone would ever need. If all else fails I can open up shop! (Jokes!).
