What's New on the Highstreet #13 ft. Sleek, Rimmel, MakeUp Revolution + more!

Lucky for some, the unlucky number 13! I can't believe I've done 13 of these posts now, it's insane! The highstreet has recently exploded with new products again, so much new make-up! I like to think I was very restrained, but I did pick up a few exciting bits - mainly palettes and lip stuff! Even better is that there isn't anything I'm disappointed in - well not yet anyway, there's always time!

Sleek Eye & Cheek Palette - See You at Midnight
(£9.99, Boots)
Sleek have always been about the eyeshadow palettes, but they've taken a leap of faith and delved into something new - the Eye & Cheek Palettes! There are two available, this one and a more golden/peach based one. The pigmentation seems close to their usual standard, with the eyeshadows being jewel toned and the blushes a little vampy. I have to say it though, I do think the price point is a little steep. Considering the standard eyeshadow palettes are £7.99 and have 12 shades, £9.99 for 4 eyeshadows and 2 small blushes seems a jump upwards!

MakeUp Revolution Salvation Palette - Give Them Nightmares*
(£6*, MakeUp Revolutions Website)
I have been looking forward to trying this palette for ages now after seeing a sneaky peek on Instagram a few weeks ago. This is me in a palette, smoky and full of greens & purples - my two favourite eyeshadow shades! I was actually planning on buying this, but before I did it popped through my letterbox by surprise, just in time for Halloween - I'm 99% sure this is a Halloween palette!

SEVENTEEN Define & Conquer Contour Kit - Fair
(£4.99, Boots)
The Boots I went to had no testers for this, but considering the price & my good experience with SEVENTEEN so far I decided to go for it. I don't quite know what I was expecting to see when I opened it up, but it sure wasn't this! This is pretty much identical to the ELF Blush & Conour Palettes - different contents of course! The highlight shade is also matte, which is a pleasant change from the norm, however I don't think it's going to show up as a highlight on my skintone, it's more like a setting powder! I think a satin finish could have worked better.

MUA Pro Base Primer & Conceal Powder
(£4, MUA's Website) Remember how in
my video last week about the new MUA stuff I was gutted I ordered too eagerly and missed the release of this? Well it's already in my local Superdrug so I managed to pick one up! I've yet to use it on my face, but the texture feels gorgeous and silky soft. I'll let you know how it deals with the colour correcting soon!

Rimmel Provocalips Kiss Proof Lip Colour - Kiss Me You Fool
(£6.99, Boots & Superdrug)
I've been patiently waiting for these to launch for ages. They seem like Rimmels answer to all the complaints about how the Apocalips wear. These claim to be super duper long wearing and although I haven't tried this on my lips yet I'm rather inclined to believe the longwear claim as when I swatched this on the back of my hand it was an absolute nightmare to remove! There are 8 shades available.

Maybelline Intense Velvet Lip Pencil - Minimalist
(£4.99, Boots & Superdrug)
This isn't brand, brand new, but in the grand scheme of things I'd still call this new! Unfortunately these aren't sealed, so finding an untouched one, especially in the shade you want is a mission! Use the testers people! Anyway I finally found the shade I was wanting and after all the effort I think I may be on the fence about the formula. It's kinda waxy and stiff - gorgeous nude pink shade though with a subtle shimmer! There are 9 shades available.

Rimmel Pop Art Top Coat
(£3.99, Boots & Superdrug) Nail polish is the last thing I need, especially another glitter! I'm justifying this one on the basis that it's very different to anything else I own. It has lots of different colours of matte glitter all suspended in a clear polish, I've never seen anything like it on the highstreet before - the swatches are pretty too!
