Made By Nell Review and Giveaway

Searching for that ‘something different’ to give as an original gift to a baby, child or even female friend who loves vintagey flower prints.
Think of a truly personal and individual gift this Christmas for a baby or need a picture for the wall of a nursery?
At Made by Nell, unusual and fun animal and flower prints are lovingly created from the hand-painted originals of Nell’s artwork.
Perfect for the child who maybe has an unusual spelling of their Christian name, great for a toddler learning to recognize his or her name and its a lovely gift for the parents to keep as a treasure.
Its the sort of present when I saw mine. I went "Awwww" the same can be said for each family member and visitor to the house.
Paige and Conor were unusual names/spellings when I had them and at Christmas we often went to craft fairs to get something a little different, this is exactly what I would be looking for. Nowadays we can shop online for beautiful gifts, it is so much easier.

Mine is for a very special baby called Jasper, the name like the little boy is special and not easily found in the shops on personalised gifts. My photo on this dark Autumn day does not do the colours justice, it is really vibrant. The print mine is unframed came very well packaged. It is really well made, the mount is a good quality one. I definitely want a frame so will be using the 20% off discount offered by Nell (see below)
Each letter of his name is an animal or bird
J for Jaguar A for Anteater S for Snake P for Penguin E for Eel R for Rat

Its bright and the actual animals are really funny and cute. I love the amusing poses they are in to make the letters. My favourites are the Jaguar and the very cute rat.
The pleasure that I know this gift will bring to Jasper and his Mum makes me feel very happy. You can see the dedication that Nell applies to making these artworks into a child's keepsake and her aim is to make people smile. For me she succeeded.
I now want to buy one for me I love the floral ones, I think they could be for a keen gardener or for a vintage kitchen. I see no reason why these cannot be for adults.
Her passion for flora and fauna is infectious, and she admits “the feeling of deepest joy I get from seeing a child delighted by one of my pieces of art is indescribable – it makes everything all the more worthwhile.”

There are greeting cards including a Christmas charity card pack,(funds going to the Mseleni Children's home when Nell lived in South Africa, and for family who have been affected by Parkinsons), mugs and of course the animal and flower prints and you can choose the letters you want as Nell offers a bespoke service. Plus a new range of 'New baby' cards will be coming in the new year.

Animal Prints

Little Jack can learn about Jaguars, alligators, clownfish and koalas whilst seeing his name in print, or Poppy can entertain friends and relatives by showing off her name print made up of a panda, octopus, penguin, parrot and yabby (not many adults know about these smart little Australian crustaceans!)
Flower Prints

For the more ‘girly’ girls amongst us, Made by Nell has created a full alphabet of flowers that adorn exquisitely delicate pink calligraphy style letters. All the flowers are relevant to the letter they ‘grow’ up, and the flower name is subtly printed under each (to help mums with name recognition!). So watch Olivia wow her friends with knowledge of Orchids, Lily of the Valley, Iris, Vestia, Ixia and Anemones.

Prices start from £19.00 for a mounted animal or flower print. Framing options are available.

Made by Nell are also offering all readers a 20% off offer on all purchases, when using the code FF2014 at the checkout on the website (or by contacting them directly through our Facebook page.

For one lucky reader however here is the chance to own a gorgeous mounted and framed (white frame) picture - either animals or flowers - of up to 10 letters
