Mars Cakes and Cookies Review

My idea of heaven was opening a box of goodies from Mars, they have launched a range of treats and though it was making many of my friends jealous when I posted on Instagram and Facebook, I am going to try not to make you all jealous too.
Not really quite sure where to start, Granny who was due elevenses said she fancied trying the Mars Cake Bars first.

Any lovers of the Mars Bar? Well you are in for a treat, it tastes exactly like the chocolate bar, but the sponge makes it lighter and the caramel oozing out is just perfect
They are in packs of 5, I believe makers do this for families of 4, so the hard working mum can have an extra one.
They are now available from Co Op, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Asda and Morrisons,
MARS Cake Bars. RSP £1.65 nowever Asda are selling them for 96p!! Perfect!!

Leading nicely on to the cookies, you seriously need to give these a go. Each one inspired by a bar of your favourite, Milky Way Magic Stars are little mini cookies, perfect for the children and perfect for the child in me. The cookies if you can see from the photos are freshly baked in Tesco stores and a nice £1 for 10. I can see these being lovely for a day out, in the lunchbox and just for a nice biscuity treat.

I could taste Milky Way chocolate, the recognisable child's favourite star shapes in a cookie will tempt little ones, if you act fast you can pop these into your mouth quickly to keep them fresh, hehe!!
The Bounty Cookie is my favourite of the three, but then I love Bounty bars, again from Tesco at £1.30 for four, when I opened the bag, a lovely coconut aroma met my nose. They are large, (not for popping into the mouth) soft, melt in the mouth and deserve a slow lingering nibble. The chocolate pieces are gorgeous and chewy pieces of coconut make this almost macaroon like.
If you are not in overdose mode by now, spare time for the Galaxy cookie, again from Tesco, £1.30 for 4. These are exactly what you imagine a galaxy bar in a cookie, chewy, soft and moreish.
I am afraid I had to take a break from doing this arduous task, for fear of not telling you how good the next goodies are and also for fear of popping a waistband!
Round 2
The new sharing cakes from Galaxy and M M's from Asda are going to be perfect for a birthday, Christmas, maybe an 'I love you' for a chocoholic or just to treat the family!

The Galaxy Treat Cake topping is generous, crammed with Galaxy treats.
Having now tried the cake, I can say it is £7's worth of chocolatey goodness, the cake serves 15 so plenty for everybody, I did joking say to my Facebook friends I was scratching the 5 off so it served 1, but my marauding family and my bathroom scales would all have complained.

It is a good tasting chocolate cake, moist sponge a real good chocolate and the topping worth saving until last as it is covered with the Galaxy counters and Galaxy ripple pieces.

It would be great with cream, possibly a good thing I had none.

If you love M M's your cake with character, look no further than the Sofa Cake. Featuring the iconic M&M’s characters, this cake brings a sense of fun to any occasion. Its bright orange icing and bowl of real M M’s will bring smiles and satisfied guests wherever it goes.

Available from ASDA. RRP £16.00

Finally the most heavenly spread you will try, seriously, the new Malteser Teasers Spread is lusciousness in a jar! It is soft, with lovely bobbles of malt honeycomb. I maybe one day will try to use it on crumpets, toast possibly a jar or two later than this one.

To really get the best from this, you only need one more thing!
A spoon!

MALTESERS Teasers Spread is available from Tesco. RRP £2.

Mars sent the products to me, for the purpose of this review, my chocolatey opinions are my own.
