9 Stay-Home Date Ideas That Will Make You Glad It’s Cuffing Season

Cuffing season is approaching (or is it here already?), so it’s time to get those dates in order. With the weather soon to be getting colder, you’ll have to take things indoors, and no one likes to watch Netflix all the time. Here are some new ideas to take your dates at home to the next level.

1. Have a cooking competition.

Cooking is ALWAYS better at home, especially when you’re cooking for your significant other or they’re cooking for you. And isn’t it cute when you’re cooking together? Now isn’t one of those times. For this date it’s all about the competition. Who can make the best meal? Bring your appetite, and talk your ish. Cook the same dish, and then judge each other on your efforts. It will definitely bring you two together, and they’re be some yummy leftovers! (LOL)

2. Take it all off.

Whoa, whoa, whoa! We’re not talking about that — yet. Play strip trivia. Whoever gets the question wrong takes off an article of clothing (duh).

3. Play would you rather?

Okay, this might sound lame, but it will give you insight into your boyfriend or girlfriend for HOURS! It’s impossible not to get into these questions. Find samples here.

4. Make a fort

Remember how fun you had when you did this as a kid? Relive your childhood (kinda) when you grab every single blanket and pillow you can find, and get those cuddles in.

5. Write love notes to each other

How cute is this? When was the last time you wrote someone a note (who wasn’t your coworker)? It definitely time for a change. Handwrite a love note for the ultimate intimacy. You’ll be able to cherish forever.

6. Learn a new skill together

Learning something new always takes patience and you can get a little frustrated when it’s done by yourself. Why not learn a skill with your date? Practice makes perfect and you can encourage each other with kisses along the way.

7. Have a themed night

Pick a movie and make a meal to go with it. Have a Fast and the Furious marathon (or mini-marathon, because that could take a few days), and have taco night since the movie was set in Cali. Make it clever!

8. Be Cliff and Clair Huxtable

Remember how Cliff would always put jazz on and they would dance in the living room? Forget about the club, and do that! It’s so cute and memorable. It’s sure to leave a smile on your face for days to come.

9. Paint the town

Even if you “can’t draw,” nothing should be off-limits in this case. Break out the paint and canvas (they’re pretty cheap from your nearest Michael’s art store) and paint each other a masterpiece.

What are some other home date ideas you love?
