In the Work Place: The Office Classic

Wearing vintage can be a challenge. It's even more challenging to find a balance between great vintage style and work appropriate outfits. This will be the first in what I hope will be an ongoing series on fashion for the work place.

Today, we're going to explore vintage in an office environment. A lot of offices tend to be more conservative and encourage blending in rather than standing out. Let's style the office classic!

Stock up on classic pieces like blouses and pencil skirts that will never go out of style.

Dresses in neutral colors rather than prints will go a lot further in your work wardrobe and also read as classy.

It's hard to go wrong with a classic print like plaid.

Matching or coordinating layers are a must for a dafty office.

Accessories can really make an outfit. Keep your outfit more conservative by sticking with basic pumps and leaving your hat and gloves for after work.

If you are lucky enough to work somewhere with more a more flexible dress code, rock great vintage details like on this fabulous vintage dress! (Butterick 6672)
