Pow Wow Hawaii 2013 is coming!

It's almost that time again... time for Pow Wow Hawaii 2013!

If you're on Oahu, you must come hang out with us, February 9th–16th, in Kakaako, on the streets, at Fresh Cafe and Loft in Space. See some great art, meet some rad artists, eat some shave ice... you get the picture!

This year, I'll be painting as well as throwing up more yarnbombs. These past weeks I've been crazy busy making Hanasaurusrex charms and amigurumi plushies, like these shave ice, for the Pow Wow Pop-Up shops and Loft in Space gallery. I'm so stoked right now! I'm excited to be going back to Hawaii to be a part of this amazing event again, getting to see family and friends again and, the icing on the cake, my new patterns are turning out too cute—if I do say so myself... ;D

Last year, I had the pleasure of yarnbombing my first Hanasaururex Meter Monster.

And all these granny squares in honor of my grandmother who taught me how to crochet all those years ago. She had just passed away the week before. I thought about her the whole time I was making this; it was very therapeutic and an apropos way of receiving closure.
