Swatch: Essence Road Trip 01 Hit the road, red! (leather effect)
I must confess: when I picked this polish from the Road Trip TE I really didn't know what to expect. I tried it on the clear sheet and then, charmed by the "leather effect" label and the pretty color, I bought it. I thought it was a sort of satin polish, but when I tried it on my nails I realized I was wrong!
In fact Hit the road, red! once dry remains slightly wrinkled, not exactly a "micro textured", but as it had tiny sheet marks. The color is not exactly red, it's more a faded burgundy/tea rose, anyway the polish is really easy to apply and remains extremely glossy when dry (that surprised me).
Not what I was expecting, but a nice polish (I can see me wearing it a lot next Fall).

Confesso: quando ho comprato questo smalto Essence della Trend Edition Road Trip non sapevo bene quello che stavo facendo. Il termine "leather effect" mi ha fatto andare un po' in palla...L'ho pure provato sulla cartina trasparente, ma ho dato per scontato che l'effetto fosse satinato (che amo).
Invece no, dopo la prima mano mi sono accorta che il risultato ricorda una superficie leggermente corrugata, non dico micromaterico...piuttosto una specie di "segni delle lenzuola" molto leggeri. Il colore (a dispetto del nome "Hit the road, red!") secondo me è più un mattone-bordeaux sbiadito-rosa antico, l'applicazione è ottima e stranamente (perché mi aspettavo una superficie leggermente opaca) lo smalto anche da asciutto resta lucidissimo.
Non proprio quello che mi aspettavo, comunque bello (e più autunnale che estivo)!
