Thom Browne Fall 2011 Paris

I have had the deepest opposition to traditional, and modern, modes of masculinity. I believe that it has caused numerous decays and has been fraught with disaster since its evolution from the 19th century till now. It has been in decay for the last 80 or so years and much has to be done about it before men crumble. The concept must be done with, the style can remain to grow on its own without the crutches of its knobby-fingered patriarch.

I for one support Thom Browne’s latest collection. The collection goes a long way into implementing a pre-19th century collection when men ruled and ruled with swagger. In fact, if a band along the like of T.Rex or The Rolling Stones ever came about, it would come out in these attires.

The one above would like outstanding with Marc Bolan. Perhaps a longer hat would be more delightful on him. This attire is definitely suitable for men because for one, men were born to wear make-up and two, this outfit displays power. What is a men without power. Mess with this fella and you will get the stick he’s holding and I might add this, the boot.

The above could be adorned by Brian Jones or even Marc Bolan again. The skirt is fundamental for all men and this one, a skirted playsuit or a jumpsuit is wonderful way to start the dismantling of the vile order. Top it off with tights and breeches and we have ourselves a band in the same calibre of the rock legend.

I must put in a word of warning though. this type of attires, if we are using rock n’ roll references, should not be used by the lead singer. Someone like Msrs, Morrison and Jagger will have a hard time pulling off the blazing ferocity of their performances in these. Yo need to have a certain soul, a drowned out tempered angst. Like everyone in Can.

This look is more fitting for Mick Jagger. The reason is simple. The strutting gesticulations of Mick Jagger will resonate much more wider with his face mostly covered up, it will actually vibrate. Any movement of his sunglasses and his scarf will cause his female fans to drip sweat, awaiting any movement that shows a bit of his flesh.

I hope all future rock stars follow my advice. Hell, if he works for my cause, I will pray that even Mr. Bieber will follow suit.
