The Cast of My Garden

It is time to "hit" the REFRESH button on my blog. It has been way too long since my last visit.
On this first day of fall my garden will soon be getting ready for the upcoming winter.
So I put the garden teapot on

poured myself beautiful blooms

as I sipped I silently thanked all the flowers that graced my garden this year. I would have liked to have celebrated their beauty more with photographs and thoughts. I'm sorry to admit this year my garden was a bit neglected. Although the neglect didn't detour the cast of characters from performing their roles.
The sedum is turning a beautiful crimson and plays host to a bumblebee party each day.

The snapdragons have let the mums have center stage.

The hydrangeas have been busy as they "fluffed and puffed' their beauty all season and occasionally a fresh new bloom steps on stage.

The butterflies and hummingbirds have had their little tummies filled.

The Black Eyed Susan dance around the birches.

and the star of the cast is the rose. Blooming in every "act" all summer until the first snowflake falls.

Thank you sweet garden you are beautiful in spite of your "Director's" lack of attention.
Enjoy! It is a wonderful time time of year! Kelley
