Yesterday it was 64, sunny and amazing outside, so I took veteran runner
Ossie out with me on my run. What I should've also brought was some sunscreen. And I paid dearly for not applying any. By the end of the run, it looked like a strawberry sneezed on my face.
Chris had a good laugh about it when I got home.
Lessons from today
- Ossie is the best running partner, hands down. He trained a lot with me for my half, his farthest was 6 miles--not bad for my long-legged pup!
- Also, I can disguise catching my breath during his pee breaks.
- When running midday--or mornings, if you're into that type of thing--brush on some SPF moisturizer or sunscreen. Too much unprotected sun exposure can damage your skin and cause wrinkles. Or wear a hat/something with a visor.
Ossie and I put up 3.51 miles running around the lake. Poor guy nearly jumped out of his harness when a cylist whizzed by a little too close to us.
