Not Ready!

Today I was informed that Liam needed to be cleared before surgery, which was for next week, by a Pulmonary Specialist. Luckily they were able to fit us in today. Unfortunately it was not a quick appointment, we waited for over an hour once in the room. The kids were stellar playing with the spin chair and snacking on crackers...

Unfortunately though, Liam was NOT cleared for surgery. Instead, after seeing his chest x-ray from Friday they came to the conclusion that the little virus he caught a couple weeks ago has turned into bronchiolitis. That means he had to start the nebulizer treatments tonight of steriods.
He is not a fan so far...

Hopefully next week he will look better and we can be cleared for surgery here in the next 10 days. We shall see. I am a little overwhelmed, it makes the scheduling side of all of this stressful, and it puts back all his other doctor appointments/surgeries planned. But I know it all happened for a reason, and I am grateful that we found this before the surgery, I can't imagine if he had gone into surgery not healthy. I am grateful for good doctors.
