5 days in the life of... {day 4}

Tuesday is always kinda hectic in the morning. the muppets eat lunch at school, and i ALWAYS forget it to make it the night before. so in the morning when i get downstairs AARGHH. lunchboxes. so i'm like a sergeant drilling those kids to do what i want ON TIME, and i'm failing miserably at that. nice to know i'm not that usefull huh?!
so while i'm runnig around like a chicken with no head (Dutch saying :), i'm dropping the box of bunnyfood all over the floor. ain't nobody got time for that a few curse words... (and get my iphone to take a pic of that resulting in Sanne "and you've got time to take a picture of that?!". nice. 11-year olds.
breakfast was yummy though! fresh strawberries, with greek yoghurt, muesli with a few raisins. and after packing their boxes, Sanne brushing her own hair, Ruben putting gel in is, double check their bags and of we go to school. on our bikes. yet again :)
aaaanddd she's back!! my sweet hardworking lovely Elles is back in the office. for 4 whole days. haha. but it's such a relieve to have her for those days though. she's on break again, but hey, after that I'M ON BREAK. i think we talked for over an hour about how her holiday was. and how i messed things up. kinda spectacular i'm boss huh? hehe. i only worked the morning, taking advantange of her being back, so i could do some work at home. while i was riding home, i remembered we were out bunny's hay and i had to do some shopping for the last day of the teachers this friday. well. last day of their classes actually.
and i had to bought some 'old dutch (vintage)" candy (HEMA) and a cute little glass bottle (Blokker). i had crocheted those cute little octopuses, one for each teacher. i figured: crazy easy idea: octopus on glass jar of candy. genius. so i made these.
ofcourse did some pre-editing on the pictures i already took with my iphone, thinking about how that would save me some time. and since Ruben was going to play at a friends house, i didn't have to pick him up from school. to-do-list-time. getting outside is always a good idea. bringing notes is even better.
and while i was sitting outside, i looked up and saw those gorgeous clouds. sometimes i can just sit and watch those clouds go by. not one second the same. i give myself permission to dream. to look. to be here. it's not waisting time. it's nurturing my soul.
and on i went with my note books, to-do-lists and ecourses. i'm an e-course addict. book junkie. usually about entrepreneurship, running a webshop, diy's books, crochet books. happy stuff. Sanne got home from school and played outside with her friends. i can hear them giggle on the other side of the playground. such a great sound.
hammerdinnertime! i'm making chicory dish (witlof), i'm hoping the translater got that right! it's so yummy. kids eat potatoes and meat with it. i only eat this dish, but i'm feeling a bit under the weather suddenly. a bit nauseous. Arjan takes over and i go lay down in the garden in a chair. i fall asleep like the second i lay down. he wakes me up after the table is ready and we are ready to eat. i don't eat much. still a bit nauseous. no idea where it comes from.
after dinner i think i feel a bit better so go upstairs into my 'studio' (tiny, but it is a studio you know:), and this crazy kids comes running in my room screaming "I CAN SEEEEE YOUUUUUU!!", and moves out again. nuthead. i try to edit some pictures but soon i decide i still don't feel very well. i get into my comfy clotes and lay down on the couch with the lovely book from A Beautiful Mess. and i'm actually thinking about going to bed early. i almost fall asleep on the couch again. okay. wake-up call. i'm just too tired. i cancel my appointment with my trainer tonight. my body is not working with me, so i give it what it wants. rest.
but not before my 2 muppets convince me to play a game of Monopoly. Dad plays too. they LOVE this game. bought a cheap old version of the Dutch 'ebay" (marktplaats) because i love the vintage look of it. Ruben is magic with numbers, so he can play this very well. he calculates prices himself. he calculates in his head the money from the bank if he get's return money. i think he's genius. he's like me. we are wizz kids. serious. Sanne thinks we are the biggest nerds of the planet. she's right. we are. with pride.
after the game we take the kids to bed. they can read a Donald Duck and i quickly go lay down on the couch again. Arjan & i watch an episode of Dexter (yeeahhh Netflix :) and i try to crochet. too tired. okay. i give in. after Dexter i go straight to bed. i fall asleep almost immediately. that says enough. tomorrow is a new day.
it really is fun documenting every day, but it also takes TIME to document it. take pics, edit, write posts. but i truly truly love this. today i nominated my sweet friend from Australia "Kate Mason" aka Messy Miss Kate. she's such an artist and has lots and lots of kids (LOL. Sanne asked me if she was "Kate PLUS 8' from TV when i showed her a pic of her & her kids. hehe. luckely Kate could laugh about my silly sweet Sanne's comment too :). Kate, please share us your gorgeousness in days!
