the grand day. in pictures.

i was so lucky to have so many sweet friends helping me out. First of all my sweet friend Kirsten who took all these gorgeous pictures & helped me with the register all day long. and the preparation. and the mental "you can do this girl" peptalk now and then. Thanks sweetie! and since she was so busy at that register (ka-ching), there are no pictures of how freaking busy it was. but believe me. it was amazing to see so many people visiting my shop. like. chaw drop.

Marsha's husband is one amazing DJ and he was there!!! my sweet friend Haggith injured herself, but STILL came and stayed & helped all day. nothing but respect <3.

all was prepared for the storm. stamps & ink. some of it :)

oh. those little Izink bottles. from each color only 5 fitted in the little cabinet. i had 6 of each. well. it was a shame i had to take one of each color home. horrible. but i did it.

oh. and yarn. goodness. my sweet friend Haggith gave me that volkswagen sign. i could have sold it over 3 times on the opening day. nope. it's mine. ALL MINE <3.

storefront! the best part? writing on those windows. still haven't found a pen that stays put during the rain. so i wrote outside. traced it over from the inside & whiped out the outside again. ohh the things you'll do to get it your way :)

the quiet before the storm. only 30 more minutes before THE opening and we had lunch. not sure what i said there what shocked Haggith so much :)

i was just not completely sure what would happen with that bottle. and since i have this thing for stupid actions....

and while you whipe of your spit coffee of your screen, let met tell you a bit about this picture. which is hilarious don't you think? bwahahaha. i still have to laugh so hard when i look at this picture. and i'm not afraid to post it. it just looks like i'm being attacked by a giant group of tigers right? the fun part? when i "plopped" the champagne, it wasn't even a big bang, it was just a "plop" and the cork just plopped off. no big bang. no craziness. so my reaction is even more hilarious if you know that! still not afraid to tell you.

and THAT HAND. look at THE hand. bwahahaha. okay. stop it already.

Danny from "De Ridderhof" made the best bites ever. they were soooo delicious! and gone before i knew it.

Haggith's daughter & her friends made these amazing little cupcakes. they tasted so yummy. YES. i ate them. i will not anymore, too much sugar for me, but just a little treat. thanks so much Do (& Friends!).

it was so great to see friends meet other friends of me. Karin (pattern of her gorgous shawl on her blog!) meeting Birgit. swoon.

quiet before the storm :). can i say i love my shop? i'm in love with the colors. the happiness. the i-feel-so-good feeling i get when i walk in there.

maybe i will get some more pictures of the crowds here and there. but now you have a little impression of what a fun day it was!

opening hours: thursday & friday from 10-1700, Saturdays from 12-1600. the other days i'm busy working for my other 2 companies. it's a bit crazy. i know.

on the agenda today: blood tests for Sanne. who freaked the shit out of me by fainting twice last week (wednesda & thursday) while on thursday conveniently having a bloody nose. yes. and since everything seems to be okay, i want to make sure nothing is wrong with my litle lady. so blood tests it is.

hopefully i can get some work done after that. like a gazzillion emails. sounds familiar?
