New living room

The living room in our new house has been renovated the last few weeks, and this Friday we could finally move back in again – a day I have been waiting for with a lot of joy!

I´m very happy with how it all turned out, and I look forward showing you more photos of it in the time to come. One of the things I love the most is the “new” floor that now has been sanded and treated with lye, white oil and matt lacquer – it´s SO beautiful and much lighter than it used to be. Before we started I was not aware that the process to renovate a wooden floor was so technical, and the number of choices you have. Luckily, we found people with the right competence and I am happy to come with recommendations if you are planning to do something with your own wooden floors.

As you can see in the above picture we have also removed all the window mouldings to make a cleaner and firmer look, and I am very happy with result.
