Monday Inspiration

Last night the 86th Annual Academy Awards aired on ABC and just like most of the country, I was tuned in. I of course was most excited to see my number 1 girl, Lupita Nyong’o, slay the red carpet as she so beautifully did. But what stuck with me most was her awesome and inspiring speech about dreams.

I’ve always been a believer in following your dreams and pursuing what you most desire for your life. I’m still a dreamer to this day and don’t know where I would be without the possibility of my dreams and what could become fueling me forward day in and day out.

Lupita’s statement, “No matter where you’re from, your dreams are valid,” is just so very true. Your dreams do matter and it doesn’t matter where you’re from or where you’ve been, if you dream it, go after it. You don’t have to wait around for anyone to validate them.

As you jump start your day today, try not to get bogged down by the dreaded start of yet another Monday but look at it as another day you’re able to chase after what it really is you want.
