21st Birthday Wishlist

I'll be the first to admit that birthdays don't really carry any sort of significance to me, they never really have. Sure, I was excited to be 18 and party as much as I like because it was legal but, 21? I don't really get it. Besides feeling some sort of obligation to throw a party for family and friends to enjoy and reminisce about shared times or unfortunate events, there isn't much else I can say this birthday really stands for. Maybe it's because I live in New Zealand and we are all backwards down here. Needless to say, I will be having a low key night with friends, family and good food. Any birthday calls for a birthday wishlist though, even if it is to document everything you can't afford/wouldn't buy for yourself. My only goal for the foreseeable future beyond university is traveling, so although a Celine bag would be amazing I think I'd appreciate a round the world ticket more. Just like happiness, money can't buy unforgettable experiences (although it helps you get there).

Here are my top picks for the materialistic girl in me, completely disregarding everything I just said. I have to say the Karen Walker moon charm is something I've almost purchased too many times to count, just seeing it on there reminds me of the quote "we are always haunted most by the purchases we didn't make", ugh might just have to bite the bullet because it really has played on my mind for years. That and the botanic range rings. I can't celebrate the day without treating myself right? Those or as many new MAC lipsticks or eyeshadows as my shoppers guilt allows.. I didn't really know how to organise it all, so click on the numbers for links - it's a lucky dip! Click here for full list
