monochrome monday

I can finally sit down for an hour to update my blog now. I have been so busy with the kids. They are having a one week term break so I have been their driver, driving them around for their various activities. Today, I am in a simple monochrome outfit, maybe I was influenced by the dark clouds and gloomy weather. GIF top (hand-me-down) thrifted skirt ($1, altered, HP)thrifted Bata shoes ($5, SOSN)vintage handbag (grannys)scarf ($3.50)this is a simple way to tweak a plain top, just tie a scarf bow on the strap of your top.like this:the scalloped edge of my skirt was pretty easy to achieved, no sewing required. Just trim away the hem. Go to here to see the refashion.Linking up at Visible Monday and Thrifters Anonymous. It has been raining a lot for the past few days too and likely for the rest of the week...so it means that you will be seeing the all too familiar wall of my living room a lot. But I like rain, especially when I sit by the window and watch the rain, it makes me so grateful to know that I have shelter over my head. Thanking God for the simple things in life...they are often taken granted until we loose it.1 Timothy 6:6-10"But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that."
