Thirty For Thirty

The past few weeks have been really great. It sounds so simple, but they really were just wonderful weeks to look back on and store away in my memory! Instead of breaking it down into tons of little posts, I decided to post my top 30 pix from the past 30 days!

Christmas season with my Etsy shop was busy as usual, but luckily slowed down just a few days before the holidays. Dustin and I spent Christmas in Nashville, helping lead worship at all six Christmas Eve services at our church's Bellevue campus. I was quite nervous, but thanks to some of Dustin's technical difficulties with his gear, all attention was diverted away from my nervous start at practice. I love that man! After our last service, Dustin and I scooted home to set up Colotennyslvania Christmas and drink some Peppermint Mochas, which is our tradition. It's a mix of all our state cultures and ensures a white christmas with the many paper-cut snowflakes we hang from the ceilings for Christmas Day!
My parents, as well as my Grandma, jumped in their car up in PA and drove ALL Christmas Day to make it down to spend Christmas night through the week with us! We had a blast, relaxing and playing games nearly half of every day! I'm not even joking...my grandma would take breaks from our games to play Words with Friends with my cousins on her Kindle! We also went out on the town and ate at a few of our favorite places including Fido's (of course!!!) in Hillsboro Village and Merridee's in downtown Franklin. My mom apparently played the "Mennonite Game" and figured out that the owner's sister dated my uncle or something like that! Nonetheless, it turns out its a keeper of a restaurant and we've gone every time they come to visit!

New Years was spent with a small group of friends at a fun local brewery. It was quite entertaining. We sat up on the second floor and had perfect people watching seats, which was a brilliant move on our part seeing as it was a 70's & 80's themed night. There were some sure characters out on the dance floor and in the bar below! My friend's mom made these awesome party hats for us girls and our waitress supplied us with tons of noise makers, confetti and champagne! It was a great way to bring in the new year!

Not more than a few hours after we rang in the new year, Dustin and I hopped on a plane and headed out west to visit his family for the holidays! It also is when I apparently realized I was slacking in the photo taking department. Thank goodness I have more than 5 photos to show for the holidays!

We went snowboarding, ice skating, some more snowboarding, a bit of cross country skiing and a little bit more snowboarding! It was incredibly refreshing to get out of Tennessee's overcast winter and play outside under the blue skies! By the way, isn't my board incredibly good looking. It's getting pretty old but I never want to part with it...I wish it would last forever! (That's my bro waxing it all up for our first day back on the mountain!)
We also played games, hot tubbed, skyped with our Marine, celebrated Christmas and much more! It was an awesome vacay, one we are truly thankful for!

I hope you also had a wonderful last few weeks spending the holidays with friends and family and gearing up for the new year! ♥, mK
