Mead made from Bees & another event success

As this new chapter in my life begins I am trying to increase my workload & make more of a name for myself locally. Event planning & decorating is something that I absolutely adore doing. Last fall's farm to table event was such a success not to mention a fun experience, so our little dream team has decided to take on more private events this year. Which ultimately gives me the opportunity to see how many odd places I can hang my chandelier, to arrange gorgeous flowers and feel like Martha, and to be a part of the Marin food scene. This weekend was our first event of the year and it was stunning. It was beautiful and unseasonably warm here in West Marin, which made an event thrown at the meadery an extra special backdrop for delicious locally grown food. My gal Elizabeth & I worked together to create the perfect setting to host a private birthday celebration on a lovely Sunday afternoon. Here is a little look as to what our celebration looked like.

Sparkling mead, crab, rustic cheese platters & charming flowers...it was a sight to be seen. I wish I was sitting at this table to feast. Instead I was trying to recover from staying up til 2 a.m. (with the help of my mama) the night before arranging flowers (shhhhh).

I hope if any of you live in the area or ever visit, you take the opportunity to experience a food and farm tour or delve into the local food culture. Until then, I will keep posting about our events for a little Monday morning eye candy.

Have a great week, be kind to one another.
