Sophisticated Spring Style

Hello March!

This Spring I have a jam-packed schedule, from new collabs with maternity and mommy brands, to testing and featuring more beauty products {gotta give the readers what they want!}, to endless decor meetings {which couldn’t be better timing coinciding with my recent move to a three bedroom apartment!}.

When I have my days that are dedicated to meetings and press previews, I need something classic and sophisticated of course balancing with comfort, being that I am pregnant / commuting the streets on New York / sneaking home for the occasional hello and play time with Reese.

So what’s a girl to wear to these meetings that looks on-trend for Spring while still looking professional, but realistically staying warm in this frigid weather? I found a few key pieces I am loving, but one one in particular that is going to be my go-to from now through summer is my Jones New York Long-Sleeve Open Cardigan in navy with a white contrast stripe. I love that the fit is flowy {great for my growing tummy}, while the stripe looks nautical preppy, and overall it’s just plain classic.

To make sure it looks just right for professional meetings I recommend dressing up the accessories; here I chose a gold statement vintage necklace and complimentary elegant gold bangles: Greenbeads Geometric Stretch Bangle by Emily and Ashley, the Elaine Turner Caitlin Bangle Bracelet, and the Elaine Turner Kim Bangle Bracelet. Underneath the cardigan I am wearing a white Isabella Oliver Maternity Tank, for pants I am wearing black J Brand maternity jeans {yes, I love mixing navy and black – total fashion do!}, and then to finish it out – timeless grey Balenciaga Arena Brogues Ballet Flat. {Think jeans are too casual? I would do these OTTE black slacks.}

Come summer, I see myself throwing this cardigan over a white cotton summer dress for anything from my husband’s company picnic, to a bridal shower lunch, to a casual day in the park with friends.
