boats & botany

Clearly my trek down to visit Bianca at her aunt’s ~lake house~ a couple of weeks ago was not wasted, because I got to surround myself with boats & (pseudo) botany…two things I don’t normally find myself hanging around on a day-to-day basis.

As you can probably assume, I’ve never been a really big outdoorsy/boat adventure type of person…minus those few years when I was quite literally a track and field star, of course. (I will divulge on that segment of my life at another time, maybe.) HOWEVER, it was just so beautiful and scenic and old-people-compatible down in our self-proclaimed #Portugal, I have now gained an acute understanding of why people find lake houses so *appealing*.

On that note, did you guys ever see that movie with Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reaves from like 2006? I’ve literally seen it like 6 times (because it’s on tv a lot…), and still don’t really understand what happens. Why is that mailbox magic? How does she stop him from dying? How do they know where to find each other? Do alternate universes and dramatic time zones really exist? Also, what are your opinions on Keanu Reaves? Can we discuss?

Questions that circulate in my head that never elicit sensical answers. Le sigh, life is difficult.
