Tuesday Ten: December Style Ideas

Between Instagram, Pinterest, and my favorite fashion blogs, there is so much inspiration to be found in the fashion world. Since we’re ringing in a new month that’s full of occasions to dress up for (so many, holiday parties!), I figured it was the perfect time to share ten styling ideas that are inspiring me right now. And here they are…

1. Put a pom on it.
From flats to beanies, I keep spotting tons of accessories with pom pom details. Try the trend out with a playful beanie.

2. Rock winter whites.
Every winter I fall more in love with crisp winter whites. Try pairing a white coat with jeans and heels for a polished—but unexpected—look.

3. Opt for a pop of pink.
Pale pink had a major moment last winter, and I still love it this year, especially when styled with edgier pieces. Try a pink leather jacket this month for girly and cool look.

4. Get thrown for a loop.
Big, loopy knits are a fun way to incorporate texture into your outfit. Pair an oversized sweater with skinny jeans for balanced proportions.

5. Re-think the power suit.
The old, stuffy suit has gotten a makeover! Today’s power suit is sleeker, cooler, and looks great with a casual white tee and booties.

6. Get snuggly.
Crisp December is the perfect time to wrap yourself up in comfortable knits, like a big sweater and oversized scarf. For a stylish twist, try mixing patterns within the same color family.

7. Add a bit of sparkle.
I love pairing sequins with casual separates like a loose tee or ripped jeans. Throw yours over a daytime look for a high versus low appeal.

8. Let your back do the talking.
Besides the collarbone, I think the back is one of the most seductive parts of a woman’s body. Try pairing a backless blouse with jeans this month for a sexy night out.

9. Wrap yourself up like a present.
Take inspiration from the pretty holiday presents you’re wrapping, and finish off your look with a big bow. Try a bow belt over a fitted dress for a flirty and festive look.

10. Be a bell-bottom babe.
Overalls have been all over for the past year, but this look struck me specifically with its fitted, flaired pants that seem less farm-ready and more seventies chic. I love them paired with a sleek black turtleneck and aviators.

Which of these outfits suits your style most?
