Amy’s Ice Cream in Austin, Texas – a favorite ice cream shop that is a favorite for locals and tourists alike.

Heading to Austin in June, I knew I would be dealing with hot temperatures. Not only the heat, but the humidity as well. (Which this Utah girl is not used to!!) So needless to say, I had quite a few ice cream shops on my list of places that I wanted to visit.

One of those shops was Amy’s Ice Creams. And lucky me – there was a location right across from the Hotel San Jose where I was staying. After lunch the first day in Austin, a group of us headed over for ice cream.

Serving up ice cream in Austin since 1984, Amy’s Ice Cream is now an independently owned chain with 15 locations throughout Austin, Houston and San Antonio.
