Art lover and traveler? If you’re in the UK now, think about seeing Forward Thinking, an art exhibition which explores environmental, social and ethical concerns through art.

At UK’s Southhampton Solent University, the art exhibition brings together six artists from Canada, Japan and the UK. Forward Thinking looks at some of the ways in which contemporary artists grapple with building a more sustainable future, seeking socially and environmentally responsible ways of living and working.

One of these artists is Nick Gentry who is best known for his recycling of floppy disks and film negatives. His exhibition piece is Gentry’s Fragments of time (above) which is “influenced by the development of consumerism, technology and cyberculture in society.”
