Fancy taking an afternoon tea walk in London? Then you might fancy the Sunday Afternoon Tea Walks hosted by The Montague on the Gardens.

The London hotel has designed the walks so that participants can learn about some of the significant landmarks in literary and Georgian Bloomsbury and engage in the culture of the traditional afternoon tea.

The Montague on the Gardens located right next to the British Museum, and its surrounding area of Bloomsbury was the haunt of some of London’s famous authors including Virginia Woolf, John Maynard Keynes and E.M. Forster. The hotel is a member of The Red Carnation Hotel Collection of five- and four-star family-run boutique hotels in London, Dorset, Guernsey, Geneva, Palm Beach, South Africa and Ireland.

Led by experienced guide Aly Mir, the nine Sunday Afternoon Tea Walks are planned for select Sunday afternoons from May through October 2014. The one-hour tours will depart the hotel at 12:30 p.m. and visit sites including The British Museum, The Cartoon Museum, Bloomsbury Square, The Brunei Gallery and The Weiner Library.

Then the Sunday Afternoon Tea Walks will conclude with The Montague on the Garden’s afternoon tea in the hotel’s conservatory. In 2014, the scheduled dates for the walks are May 18, June 8, June 22, July 13, July 20, August 31, September 14, September 28 and October 12.

The Sunday Afternoon Tea Walk tours can be booked individually by non-residents or guests or as part of The Montague’s Historical Bloomsbury Package (luxury accommodations for one night and the historic afternoon tea walk).
