What you’ll need:

glass mason jar or bail jar – I found mine at Joanne’s for $1.49
miniature Christmas buttons

or miniature embellishments

bottle brush tree

glitter snow

E6000® Glue/Craft Adhesive

toothpick

What you do:

I purchased the larger of the two bottle brush trees I found. (These are typically in the dollhouse miniatures section of the store and were the most expensive component. Afterwards I realized I could purchase multi-packs of bottle brush trees

online at a much better price, some of which are already decorated for you.) As the tree I bought was a wee bit tall for the jar I’d chosen, I used a pair of scissors to first cut off the wood base of the tree to shorten it a bit.

Next I dipped a toothpick in E6000 glue and used it to adhere the buttons I had selected to the tree on all sides. Then I turned the tree upside down and place a generous amount of glue on the base of the tree and then pressed it firmly onto the bottom of the jar.

Finally I added the glitter snow on and around the tree. I did this while the glue was still a bit wet so some would stick to the tree around where the ornaments were placed and at the base of the tree.

And that’s it! Now all that’s left to is to find a place in your own for your new treasure. For more great DIY Christmas crafts, project ideas and homemade Christmas gifts, be sure to follow my boards on Pinterest!
