Berlin! A Video Homage By Dimitriego Paragullo

Seems like performance artists and events organizers, Dimitriego Paragullo (a 2 man collective combining Dmitry Paranyushkin and Diego Agullo) feel the same way about Berlin as we do (ie: they like it a whole it.) At the end of last year they made a video (featuring Dmitry), documenting everything that makes up Berlin for them, repeating the word Berlin to camera in each new shot. They describe the video as an obsessive-compulsive exploration of repetition, meaning, and polysingularity of word, gesture, and architecture. The video compiles some of Berlin's best known locations as well as more underground spots - from sunny daytime scenes of Dmitry chilling/grilling/jogging/walking around Temeplhof Flughafen or Grlitzer Park or Paul-Linke-fer to Alexanderplatz by night to the cheap wine in supermarkets to countless dners, beers, bars and friends crammed into toilet cubicles. Staggering home wasted, random daytime afterhours and even some late night 'ficken' - this video literally has ITALL - and accompanying it is that one constant word Berlin. (Nice that the script was easy to remember!) This video would make anyone who once lived in Berlin homesick like hell for it - its very evocative of all the lovely, beautiful and fucked up elements that make up one of the best and craziest city's on earth: BERLIN. Nice work, Dmitry! Hut ab!
