Summer Style with ASOS

As much as I love sewing my own clothes, I certainly don’t make everything I wear. One of my new favourite online places to shop is ASOS. And when I say new, I don’t mean that ASOS is new (they’ve been around since 2000 and launched the Aussie version of their site last year), but that the online retailer is new to my list of top shopping spots. To be honest I have been aware of ASOS, but for some unknown reason I assumed they were out of my price range. I was totally wrong. Silly me for not investigating their website sooner! ASOS have a great range of fashion and accessories ranging across many price points, featuring heaps of different brands as well as their own label, which I’m a big fan of. It’s affordable and cute! Here are some of my favourite pieces for this summer. The pieces on my wish list are really versatile and if you follow the different coloured plus signs, you see the three different outfits I’d create with these pieces.

  1. I love the feminine, 70′s vibe of this pretty, pastel ASOS PETITE 70′s Frill Skater Dress. It’s a perfect party dress!
  2. This Levis’s Denim Jacket would keep away the cool evening chill as well as looking cute paired with my collection of vintage dresses.
  3. This ASOS Skater Dress in Daisy Print is my favourite. I love it. I really do. Partially because I love the sleeves and overall design, and partially because I just love daisies.
  4. The coral colour of these Pepe Jeans Cher Skinny Jeans is so fresh and summery.
  5. This grey ASOS CURVE Exclusive T-Shirt looks so comfortable as much as I love fashion, I also love being comfy.
  6. These Pixel Pointed High Heels would add a delightful pop of turquoise to an otherwise neutral outfit.
  7. I plan on spending a fair bit of time at the beach this summer and the subtle nautical touch of this sweet River Island Ship Wheel Pendant is just lovely.
  8. I frequently team waist belts with dresses as it’s a look that flatters my body shape. I love the quirky detail of this ASOS Bug Buckle Metal Waist Belt. I would wear it with pretty much every dress I own.
  9. Okay, so these Oasis Heeled Ankle Boots aren’t particularly summery, but I really like them! We’ll say they’re for summer evenings, okay? And the South Australian weather can be unpredictable at times… I think they’d look just as great with skinny jeans as they would with dresses (with or without tights).
  10. As well as being pretty, this ASOS Satchel Bag with Metal Corners is roomy! I like my bags big enough to carry my multitude of ‘essentials’ (such as a ridiculous number of pens and lip glosses and my copy of The Hobbit. Gotta read the book before seeing the movie, right?)
  11. You may have noticed my love for things with quirky details and this ASOS Moustache Face Expander Watch is no exception.

One of things that impresses me about ASOS (aside from the pretty clothes) is their approach to corporate social responsibility. There are some things about the fashion world that I don’t really like, but I do like that ASOS take their approach to ethics and sustainability seriously. You can read more about it here. I think it’s great and I hope more brands follow their example.

This is sponsored post, but I want to tell you that I am happy to endorse ASOS because I genuinely like their products and value their commitment to social and environmental responsibility. I have also purchased some things from their website (with my very own dollars!) for the Husbando and myself and have been really happy with the fast delivery and quality threads.
